2 new COVID-19 deaths, 33 new cases reported in Northland

There are 33 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Northland on Sunday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. One new death has also been reported in St. Louis County and one in Carlton County.

The Carlton County deceased was a person between the ages of 80 and 89 and the person who died in St. Louis County was between the ages of 70 and 79. The deaths were among the seven newly reported deaths in the state.

Nineteen new cases have been recorded in St. Louis County, all of which have been recorded in Duluth, according to the county. The county reports a total of 176 active cases.

The median age of people diagnosed with COVID-19 in the county has remained stable at 34.

The number of hospitalizations for COVID-19 patients has fallen to one hospitalized, one in an intensive care unit.


Five new cases have been recorded in Carlton County and one new case each has been recorded in Lake and Itasca counties.

Statewide, 754 new cases have been reported. 16,689 other diagnostic tests were performed.

In Wisconsin, Douglas County has reported five new cases according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Bayfield County has recorded two new cases.

The new cases were among 685 reported statewide. Another 6,099 diagnostic tests were performed in Wisconsin. There was one death recently reported statewide.
