The last leg of the American Triple Crown is almost over and the two best favorite horses of the 2019 Belmont Stakes will start the race side by side on the 1.5 km track of Belmont Park.
Tacitus, the wagering favorite, has the outside pole for the third gem of this weekend, while War of Will, winner of Preakness Stakes, will leave post 9, just inside his teammate.
"There were probably no bad posts, but some were better than others, and we had one – especially for our horse," said coach Mark Casse at War of Will, who clinched the rail for Preakness and Kentucky Derby, according to BloodHorse. "He will be allowed to position himself a little better from the outside."
