2020 Porsche 911 Turbo 992 Leaked on Instagram

Porsche owner and enthusiast Todd Schleicher has published on his Instagram account what could be the first public images of the 992 generation Porsche 911 Turbo 2020.

This gray metallic beast carries shiny black wheels, probably diameters shifted by 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, and a rear wing that seems more modest than the larger part equipping the prototypes 992 Turbo S seen recently on the Nürburgring. Photographed in an assembly plant, the so-called Turbo seems to be finishing the finishing work, and still wears a few pieces of protective film that protects the paint on the sides.

The new 911 Carrera S models, which we have already driven, debuted in November. It is possible that this Turbo variant will cause a sensation at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but the debut could wait until September for the Frankfurt Motor Show. Whenever the sheet is officially pulled, the car is likely to contain a 3.8 liter 3.8 liter twin six-cylinder engine with remarkable bumps on the 540 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque produced by the model based on on 991.2. Also look for Porsche's new eight-speed clutch, but purists can still pray for a seven-speed manual transmission. The new Turbo should also be able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.9 seconds and thrill speed enthusiasts with something like a top speed of 200 km / h.

At the rear, the turbo is equipped with four square exhaust tips, an aggressive lower fascia and superb 992 taillights. The 2020 version should also be preloaded with the latest version of the Torque Vectoring electronically controlled rear differential. More Porsche.

Before the 911 Turbo in the streets, expect to see the S and 4S Cabriolet variants coming out of the same line first. An eventual Turbo Hybrid would also be in preparation. If anyone has images of that one, we'd like to take a look at it.
