There are a few precious days left at the Olympic Games. Drink some extra coffee as we get closer to a gold medal in women’s basketball where Sue Bird and Team USA take on Serbia in the semi-finals (12:40 am ET). Americans could peak at just the right time, so be careful.
Speaking of peaking at the right time, April Ross and Alix Klineman’s A team capped their Olympic run with a gold medal in beach volleyball, losing just one set throughout the tournament. Ross and Klineman beat Australian duo Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar 21-15, 21-16.
Americans could win gold and both men’s and women’s golf. After Xander Sc Chaudele won the men’s title, Nelly Korda holds a four-stroke lead in the women’s tournament. The third round started on Thursday evening. A tropical storm has already reduced the tournament to 54 holes, but the weather reports looked good to qualify.
Here are all of the best Tokyo actions:
Team A wins a gold medal

One more backflip in store?
Gable Steveson, a 285-pound NCAA wrestling champion, will have a chance to win gold in the men’s freestyle at 125 kg. He’s known for celebrating his wins with a backflip, which is impressive for everyone, not to mention a wrestler of his size. Does he still have a celebration in store?
