2022 Beaumont West Brook Safety Bryce Anderson Engages with Texas A&M

One of the best defensive backs in class of 2022 in Texas, Beaumont West Brook safety Bryce anderson‍ gave his verbal engagement to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M. His entry is the 13th of the Aggies class 2022 and third in high school and represents a major one-on-one recruiting victory for the Aggies over Texas.

A longtime verbal from LSU, Anderson reopened his recruiting in January, then announced the final two from Texas A&M and Texas on July 4. He also received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

Anderson is a versatile athlete who has held several positions for Bruins head coach Eric Peevey. During his junior year, Anderson primarily lined up as a quarterback, but he’s been a prominent defensive back prospect since appearing on the national scouting scene in his sophomore year. Anderson is a highly respected young man who is greatly appreciated by his teammates and coaches, who rave about his leadership, responsibility and reliability.

On the pitch, Anderson is always around football. He has some impressive numbers on the track, and that speed shows up on his tape. Combine that speed with his advanced vision and feel for the game, and you’ve got elite range from sideline to sideline as safety and plenty of individual abilities as a corner. His versatility makes him a prime candidate for early playing time as he can play so many places. The 6-0, 190-pounder also shows tenacity and fearlessness in supporting the run.
