Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf course will likely be stripped of a major tournament from the 2022 PGA Tour calendar in the wake of the latest fallout from Wednesday’s riot on Capitol Hill.

The decision to withdraw the 2022 PGA Championship – one of the sport’s major tournaments – has yet to be announced.

But Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch believes the decision will likely come after Trump leaves.

“The odds of ‘the PGA 22 Championship going as planned in New Jersey are about as good as the odds that you or I will win it,” Lynch wrote on Saturday, clearly ironically.

“Seth Waugh, CEO of the PGA of America, was a banker and was attentive to high risk exposures. He knows that Trumpism is likely to be an equally inflammatory force in the 22 midterm elections and that any affiliation is toxic.

“Waugh will be forced to move the event and face a small but lively faction of its members who remain true believers.

Lynch also suggested the decision could come after Joe Biden’s inauguration, writing “ the concerns dissipate in 10 days, if not sooner. ”

The PGA has debated moving the Championship for some time.

“ The transfer of its commander from Trump National has been the subject of internal debate at the PGA for more than two years, but executives are reluctant to stand up against a deemed vindictive man who controls the Internal Revenue Service. Lynch wrote.

The 2022 PGA Championship was set to be the first major men’s tournament to take place at Trump National Golf Club.

The US Women’s Open was held there in 2017, which was won by South Korean Park Sung-hyun.

This medal of freedom arrived just a day after Wednesday’s Capitol riots

Golf has always been Trump’s favorite sport, or at least the sport he’s been most connected to over the years.

The president owns at least 17 golf clubs around the world, including several in Florida.

Trump admonished Barack Obama for the time the former president spent golfing, but GNN estimates that Trump has played at least 308 times during his presidency.

The day after the riots on Capitol Hill, Trump actually awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to three golfers: Annika Sorenstam, Gary Player and the late Babe Didrikson Zaharias.

The possible deletion of one of Trump National’s biggest golf tournaments is the latest in a series of responses after Trump helped incite Wednesday’s riot which is linked to at least five deaths.

Some Home Alone 2: Lost in New York fans are asking that Trump be digitally removed from his role in the film.

“ I won’t be resting until he’s removed from that scene in Home Alone 2, ” Matt Navarra wrote on Twitter.

Foreign leaders, national leaders and diplomats also condemn the president, who has since been barred from using most social media sites indefinitely.

“ Failure to publicly hold the president accountable for his actions would further harm our democracy and our ability to effectively achieve our foreign policy goals abroad, ” according to the Associated Press.

Other riot-related cancellations include Simon & Schuster canceling Senator Josh Hawley’s planned book and Apple and Amazon removing the right-wing social media app Talk from their platforms.

One of the remaining fallout that may be on the way is Trump’s impeachment.

It doesn’t seem likely that the 25th Amendment will be invoked, but House Democrats are aiming for an impeachment vote this week.

Biden’s inauguration is slated for Jan.20.
