2024 TE Landen Thomas withdraws from the State of Florida

Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County second-year four-star tight end Thomas landing disengaged from Florida State.

“I want to announce that I will be opting out of Florida State University,” Thomas shared via a Notes message on Twitter. “I want to thank all the coaches for believing in me.

“But I want to explore all of my options and make sure I made the right decision,” added Thomas.

“The state of Florida is still one of my best schools,” he also shared.

Thomas was in Athens last weekend to check out Georgia. The Bulldogs recently offered.

Thomas initially committed to FSU in early April 2021.

He is considered No.18 overall and the nation’s best tight end for the 2024 category by 247Sports.com.

FSU now has two commitments in his 2024 class – Albany, Ga. Dougherty four-star running back Cameron Davis and Blountstown (Florida) four star security Jordan Pride.
