queen elizabeth speaks publicly about her late husband Prince philippe for the first time since his death in April.
The 95-year-old monarch appeared at the Scottish Parliament’s opening ceremony on Saturday October 2 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Elisabeth was joined at the event by her son Prince charles and his wife Camille Duchess of Cornwall, known as the Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland.

In his speech, the Queen said: “I have already spoken of my deep and lasting affection for this wonderful country, and of the many happy memories Prince philippe and I have always held our time here. It’s often said that it’s the people who make a place, and there are few places where this is truer than in Scotland, as we’ve seen in recent times.
