Alabama added 2,463 new cases of COVID-19 from the previous day.

Figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health at 10 a.m. on Nov.20 show the state has recorded 228,373 cases of the coronavirus since March. Of the recent increase, 1,947 were confirmed cases; 516 were suspected cases.

Hospitalizations increased to 1,315.

ADPH reports 90,702 recoveries of COVID-19.

As the number of coronaviruses rises statewide, flu rates remain below where they were at the same point last year. The ADHD flu map shows only one area – Jefferson County – has had lab-confirmed cases in the past three weeks. All other areas of Alabama were considered “districts with no significant influenza reported”.
