MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) – Authorities have confirmed a second case of measles in the panhandle of Idaho.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports that the patient from Latah County is a family member of a young child whose first case was confirmed last week.
The child had received a measles vaccine but had not received the second dose because of his age.
Both would have been exposed during international travels.
Cases are the first cases of measles in Idaho since 2001.
The authorities say that anyone was at the Trinity Reformed Church in Moscow, Idaho, on May 26 between 9:15 am and 2 pm or at the Gritman Medical Center between 11:00 am and 2:30 pm. May 31 in the laboratory and diagnostic imaging services may have been exposed to the virus.
