Alabama has added more than 3,000 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday.
Figures as of Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. from the Alabama Department of Public Health show the state has recorded 429,655 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 3,132 from the previous day. The state added 157 deaths to bring its total to 6,283.
The ADPH said it was conducting a review of past deaths and the numbers may reflect cases going back weeks or months.
There are currently 2,724 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in Alabama.
