BOONE COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) – 42 people received the Regeneron Antibody product instead of the Moderna vaccine, according to a West Virginia National Guard press release.
This incident took place at a vaccination clinic hosted by staff from the Boone County Health Department.
According to the statement, medical experts from the Joint Interagency Working Group do not believe there is a risk of harm to these 42 people.
The Regeneron antibody product that individuals received was the same that was given to President Trump when he was infected, according to the state’s COVID-19 Czar, Dr. Clay Marsh.
Everyone who received the antibody has been contacted or is in the process of being contacted. DHHR will also follow up regularly with all people who have received the antibody as an added precaution. These people will be offered the vaccine as soon as possible with priority status.
