4,758 more COVID cases added in Alabama

The number of COVID-19 cases in Alabama continues to rise.

Figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health as of Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. show the state added 4,758 cases of the coronavirus overnight, bringing the total since March to 334,569. The state has recorded 135 deaths additional, some dating back several months.

The state’s death toll from COVID-19 is 4,587.

The ADPH listed 2,527 people hospitalized for COVID-19 yesterday.
