CLEVELAND – The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office issued a public health alert for six overdose deaths in 24 hours.
According to the authorities, there have been a total of 10 overdose deaths since Sunday.
"We are seeing another group of apparent deaths due to overdose. Our recent experience indicates that this is probably related to fentanyl, perhaps also to carfentanil. These dangerous drugs can be mixed with other drugs like cocaine or heroin with a significantly increased risk of death, "said Dr. Thomas Gilson. "Naloxone kits, fentanyl test strips, and not using drugs alone are strategies that have been shown to save lives."
Anyone who needs a fentanyl test kit can take one at the following locations:

- Care Alliance Clinic, 2916 Central Ave.

A similar warning was issued earlier this year when
