Police are investigating a hidden camera containing dozens of videos of underage girls after they were hidden in a bathroom at a Tennessee gymnasium.
A GoPro camera was found in a bathroom and changing area at a Premier Athletics facility, which trains young cheerleaders, gymnasts and dancers, Franklin police said Thursday. Videos of 60 women in various states of undress, most of whom were minors, were found on camera.
“Detectives believe the suspect had intermittently staged the camera to capture video in the toilet since September,” police said.
It does not appear that other toilets or private areas in the facility have hidden cameras, police said. Authorities have identified 47 of those who have been secretly registered and are in the process of notifying parents, the department said.
Police have not identified any suspects but hope to release more information once charges are laid.
An email sent to an address advertised on the Premier Athletics website has been marked as undeliverable. Headquarters did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.
