There are 66 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Saline County to report since the last update on Friday, November 6. The total for the county is now 1,413 with 240 cases that are actively monitored by the Department of Health, 1,157 who have recovered, and a total of 16 deaths. We’ve been in this pandemic for nine months and as we move into cold and flu season it’s just as important now as it always has been to keep doing the things we know are helping. to slow the spread of COVID-19:
● Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds with hot soapy water. Use hand sanitizer if you don’t have access to soap and water.
● Maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet between yourself and others.
● Wear masks in public areas as required by city ordinance and county resolution. Masks do not prevent you from getting COVID-19, the flu, or other contagious diseases, but they do prevent other people from catching certain diseases from you. You need to cover your nose and mouth for masks to work.
● Disinfect frequently touched surfaces and areas such as door handles, handles, cell phones, tablets, etc.
●Stay home if you are sick. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s a cold it could be allergies, but it could be worse too.
