7 characters Keanu Reeves could play in the MCU

Even after a few years in the spotlight, Keanu Reeves bounced back thanks to his involvement in the John Wick franchise. The actor is once again one of the biggest stars of the action in Hollywood, fans expect the Bill and Ted and The matrix alum to make the inevitable leap into the Marvel cinematic universe.

At one point, the actor had been summoned to play Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel, although transmitted the role because of his commitment to John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. More recently, during the press tour of John Wick Three years, actually – Reeves said that one of his favorite characters was Wolverine.

"I do not know, when I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine, then, Wolverine," said the actor.

Since Wolverine is probably not in the cards for an immediate start in MCU, we thought about creating a list of seven characters that we think we can play at the same time. Keep scrolling to see who chose …

Let's say right now that Adam Warlock is not a full-fledged character and made for the MCU and it might be hard to make sure that an actor like Reeves fits in for several movies. If, for whatever reason, Reeves chooses to join Marvel Studios for a multi-image contract, Adam Warlock would play a very appropriate role, especially if we consider what we already know about Sovereign and its people. Elizbeth Debicki plays Ayesha in a very monotonous way and Reeves could easily integrate Ayesha's opposite role. Better still, Reeves has enough autonomy to be able to play both in Warlock and in Magus in the same movie.

Sure, Ghost Rider is heading to Hulu as a show under the aegis of Marvel Television. But that does not prevent Marvel Studios from bringing back Johnny Blaze, is not it? It is true that Kevin Feige and his company would decide to appeal to Johnny Blaze while another Ghost Rider is on television because of the confusion of the brand. At least we will be here with the slightest hope of seeing Keanu interpret the spirit of revenge.

But Adam, Keanu is 54 years old! Ok, listen to me. With Xandar ravaged by Thanos during Avengers: war in the infiniteit is quite clear that Nova proper – the human rocket known as Richard Rider – will soon arrive in the MCU. And with the planet of the Nova Corps in such conditions, it makes sense to properly reintroduce a Nova Corps motor, which means that they could present Rider and Sam Alexander in the same movie. If so, you could surely allow Rider a little older to serve as a mentor to Sam.

By switching to one of Nova's Annihilators' friends, Reeves would also be an ideal actor for capturing moves for Silver Surfer. As we mentioned earlier, Reeves has a certain relaxed personality and a monotonous tone that would suit Norrin Radd and Power Cosmic perfectly – think Dr. Manhattan but brilliant with a surfboard.

Here's a role where Reeves could show his incredible lineup and that's great because he'll probably end up playing a role in a movie. A character who has long been speculated as the villain of Strange Doctor 2Nightmare is a phantasmagorical supernatural character who rules the dream dimension. It would not look like anything Reeves has done before, but that's what makes his role in another intriguing role. It is not John Wick and it is certainly not Theodore Logan.

Coming from Nightmare, Mephisto is another darker character, but this time, Reeves would be able to put his comic skills back to work. Of course, Mephisto is a demon, but he's never too serious – almost a funny Loki. In the current state of affairs, there is not really an organic way to present the character on the big screen. Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) being the only character to deal with beings from another world, it is likely that Mephisto is still a little distant plans.

And last but not least, Keanu Reeves would kill him absolutely under the name of Marc Spector. In fact, do not go around it, Reeves would make the perfect Khonshu fist. Spector is a grizzled old mercenary, suffering from a dissociative identity disorder – think John Wick and Batman combined. Reeves has enough opportunities to play various roles within DID and, since he is once again the star of action in Hollywood, why not make it one of the biggest stars of Hollywood? MCU while we are there?
