ATLANTA (CNN) – Bad news for Slurpee fans: 7-Eleven Day has been canceled for the second year in a row. But the good news is, you can still get a free Slurpee any day in July.

7-Eleven has celebrated its birthday on July 11 every year since 2002 by giving away free Slurpees to everyone who walks in the door. Last summer, as cases of COVID-19 increased, the convenience retailer canceled 7-Eleven Day and instead deposited a coupon into member accounts of the 7Rewards loyalty app for a free average Slurpee.

As it prepares to celebrate its 94th anniversary this year, 7-Eleven is giving all rewards members a coupon for a free little Slurpee “to prevent millions of Americans from crowding around Slurpee machines in one. single day “in the midst of the ongoing pandemic.

Coupon was deposited on July 1 and can be used on any day in July.
