Chelsea Green make ROH debut for women’s Championship tournament support reveal

[ad_1]

The ROH recently brought back its women’s division, led by Maria Kanellis-Bennett, with matches to determine the participants in a tournament to crown the new champion. Tonight on The best in the world PPV, ROH pulled out the medium and a Hot Mess crashed the party.

Chelsea Green arrived at the ROH.

Vita VonStarr was given a place in the tournament on the condition that she did not interfere in the men’s matches, specifically supporting Vincent and his Righteous faction in their feud with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. VonStarr violated the condition, so she was excluded from the tournament. This meant that a place was free.

Enter Chelsea Green. Hot Mess cut a promo about being deemed unworthy of an opportunity. It will do things differently in ROH. Green came to ROH to win the championship. Unfortunately, she is not allowed to compete due to a wrist injury. Hot Mess will be seated at ringside watching each game to study their competition. Once Green is back in the ring, she will show why she deserves the title.

To be honest, I’m confused by the medical timeline and whether Green is in the tournament or not. If cleared in a month, she could theoretically be in her opener as long as ROH delays her to be one of the last of the round.

Not to be overshadowed by Green, tournament support has been revealed.

MIND

Angelina Love got a first-round pass by beating Quinn McKay. The rest of the first round matches include:

  • Sumie Sakai vs. Year-C
  • Mandy Leon vs. Chelsea Green
  • Max the Impaler vs. Holidead
  • Miranda AlizĂ© vs. Alex Grace
  • Mazzerati vs. Nicole Savoy
  • Allysin Kay vs. Willow Nightingale
  • Marti Belle vs. Trish adora

Also of note, Allie Recks deserved her place, but she had to withdraw due to injury. Quinn McKay has a chance at redemption. If she wins her match next weekend against Mandy Leon, then she will be included. I guess that means McKay would replace Leon. Lenny Leonard has been announced as the special guest commentator for the tournament. It will start on July 31 with the final which will crown the winner in September at Death before dishonor.

Until Green makes his ROH ring debut, listen to his Hot Mess theme song from Downstait.

Does the arrival of Chelsea Green motivate you to watch the ROH Women’s Division? Who do you choose to win the tournament? Which matches from the first round and potential future rounds catch your eye?
