70 labs, Golden Retrievers train to become guide dogs at Oakland International Airport

OAKLAND, California (KGO) – Do not be surprised if you see dozens of dogs at Oakland International Airport today.

In fact, they are training to become guide dogs for the blind.

Seventy Labradors and Golden Retrievers practice sailing in the airport.

They will perform a series of exercises in the ticket area, boarding and disembarking at the TSA, and then finish at the baggage claim.

Puppies will train at the Alaska Airlines terminal. They started at 9 o'clock this morning.
