88 new cases of COVID-19 in the region

SOUTHEAST IDAHO (KIFI / KIDK) – Local health officials reported 88 new cases of COVID-19 in the region on Monday.

Southeastern Idaho Public Health has 35 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

There are 17 new cases in Bannock County, 2 in Bear Lake County, 5 in Bingham County, 1 in Butte County, 1 in Franklin County, 1 in Oneida County and 8 in Power County.

This brings the total of confirmed and probable cases to 1,122.

Of the 1,122 cases, 934 have recovered from COVID-19.

Public Health in eastern Idaho reported 53 new cases on Monday. There are 23 new cases in Bonneville, 1 in Clark, 1 in Custer, 2 in Fremont, 10 in Jefferson, 9 in Lemhi, 4 in Madison and 3 in Teton. There are 355 active cases. You can see more HERE.

The EIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimal, moderate, high, and critical. Bonneville, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, and Teton counties fall into the moderate risk category.

Custer County and Madison County fall into the minimum risk category.

Under this decree, social gatherings and events, both public and private, of more than 150 people are prohibited. In addition, every person in Bonneville County is required to wear a face mask that completely covers the person’s nose and mouth when in public and other places.

• Follow the Order of the State of Idaho for Keeping Healthy from Governor Little to
rebound.idaho.gov.
• Wear cloth masks in public places.
• Practice social distancing (6 feet).
• Stay home if you are sick.
• Avoid sick people.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or sleeve when you cough or sneeze.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects likely to be contaminated by germs using a disinfectant solution.
