SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Doctors in the state of Texas are using to discover what has pushed an unborn baby without most of its skin.

The baby Jaar Gray has no skin on some parts of his head, arms, legs and torso.

Born on New Year's Day, Gray is currently staying at the Texas Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Just three months later, the doctors thought that he was potentially suffering from Aplasia Cutis, a rare disease that was giving birth to skinless babies.

While doctors are unsure of the particular cause of the disease, both parents of Ja & bari have undergone genetic testing to rule out possible options.

Jaar's father expressed his extreme sadness at the disorder and living condition of their son. He also shared the difficulties of extreme measures to take, simply for skin-to-skin contact.

According to the New York Post Monday, a hospital specialist determined that the baby was suffering from epidermolysis bullosa and not from Aplasia Cutis.

Recognized as a rare connective tissue disorder, epidermolysis bullosa disease only affects 20 million newborns in the United States.

The family says that she has hope and will continue to look after her child.
