NEW DELHI: Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has opted for a mastectomy to prevent the recurrence of malignant tumors, said a surgeon at the Institute of Medical Sciences Ram Manohar Lohia denouncing his statements.
According to reports published in Times of India, Dr. S. S. Rajput, a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon who has operated three times in Thakur, said she was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer of an aggressive type.
"I have operated it three times – in 2008, 2011, and 2017 – to control the spread of cancer in his body," Dr. Rajput told TOI.
