After a second consecutive loss to the Marlins in Miami, New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway responded to growing speculation that his job would be compromised.
The Mets lost four games under the .500 mark, the worst of the season, after being held to a hit in Saturday's 2-0 defeat.
The Marlins, with the worst record in the majors, defeated the Mets for the second consecutive day after a series of seven losses.
"I'm coming tomorrow to lead the New York Mets and I'm going to be excited about it and I'm going to continue to lead this team to something special," Callaway said.
