AUSTIN (KXAN) – You may want to catch your binoculars and watch the night sky tonight, because Jupiter is so close to the Earth that you will be able to see all its moons.

NASA says Jupiter "is at its biggest and most brilliant this month."

Jupiter, the Earth and the Sun are arranged in a straight line with the Earth in the middle. NASA said this month it would be good to take a look at the planet.

The giant planet has 53 named moons and 26 moons waiting for official names, according to NASA website. The moons that attract the most interest are the first four that have been discovered, called the Galilean satellites. They are Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.

If you want to know more about Jupiter and how to observe its orbits of moons, you can consult NASA website.
