It's been 15 years since the Beastie Boys came out In the 5 districtsand to celebrate this occasion, they went on social networks Friday, June 14 to announce the digital output of 12 rarities.
The 12 titles are part of the luxury digital edition of the album, which also includes the original disc in its entirety. "Hello everyone – The 5 boroughs came out 15 years ago today," the group tweeted. "For the occasion, twelve rare pieces come out digitally in addition to the original 15 pieces of the album."
Most new bonus tracks were previously only available as B-sides on single CDs. In the 5 districts made its debut at No. 1 when it was released in 2004.
