The matches can sometimes be awful.

When Hannah Bean, a woman from Perth, Australia, enthusiastically met a person she met on dating app, she did not expect it to go so horribly.

The 23-year-old, who weighed 27 kg (170 kg) at the time, talked to him regularly by videoconference, phone calls and text messages for three months before deciding to meet in person.

Hannah, her first date of love, was "a group of nerves," but she was extremely excited to meet the mysterious man – but she was horrified when her appointment made an absence.

Instead, the man left him a text message saying, "I came in and you look nothing like your photos. Do yourself a favor, eat a salad and lose weight. "

Since then, Hannah has remained a long time away from Tinder and instead has begun to focus on her own journey of self-esteem, mental well-being and weight loss.

During the process, she lost an incredible 13 kg (86 kg) and feels much happier and more confident in herself. She has also started going out again.

Hannah, who plans to study paramedical sciences, said, "I was so ashamed and ashamed. I started crying in the cafe.

"I never heard of him again, it was horrible and I stayed away from Tinder for a long time."

Hannah explained that she had "always been overweight" since her childhood and that she had been bullied at school because of her height.

"After the death of my father-in-law at the age of 15, I quickly gained weight and weighed 110 kg.

"My mother and I were sad about this loss. I started eating well and it continued in a toxic spiral. "

In her late teens, Hannah's poor eating habits caught up with her – doctors told her that she would not live two more years if she continued to gain weight.

Faced with this harsh reality, Hannah knew that she had to make a real change. In 2016, she completely revised her diet and started to train regularly at the gym.

Hannah added, "I had a lot of health problems. I had hypertension and I was pre-diabetic. I hated the body in which I was. It was a turning point for me.

"I started eating healthier meals, mostly inspired by keto, which is high in protein and low in carbohydrates.

'I started going to the gym and cheerleading for more exercise. The weight started to melt. '

After losing eight calculations, naturally through her diet and her exercises, Hannah stated that she had reached a plateau. She therefore chose to undergo gastric band surgery in 2018, which helped her lose another calculation over the next seven months.

Now, she hopes that losing weight will help her achieve her dreams of becoming a paramedic.

Hannah added that, despite Tinder Man's cruel comments, she did not stop her from finding love and is happy again on the dating scene.

"Life has totally changed for me. I wake up every day with an incredible feeling, "she added.

"It's a surreal experience when I finally found Tinder and started having all those games.

"I'm really not used to compliments on my appearance, but it makes me feel good."
