At 30, it only took 222 innings (230 ODI) to enter the club of 11,000 members, making it the fastest man to reach the goal.
Before Kohli, the record belonged to Sachin Tendulkar, who managed the feat in 276 innings (284 matches).
Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is now third on the list. Ponting completed his 11,000 points in 286 innings (295 matches).
Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, nicknamed "Dada", has completed 288 rounds (including 295 ODI) to complete 11,000 rounds in FDI.
South Africans Jacques Kallis (293 innings / 307 matches) and Sri Lanka Kumar Sangakkara (318 innings / 340 matches) are fifth and sixth respectively.
