The worker fell into a "small" hole inside a construction area next to the carpool pickup and drop off area of the parking lot. The worker, who is not a Disney World employee, was transported to a hospital.
The area where the worker fell is part of a construction project aimed at redeveloping the park's entrance. Permits for the project were filed in February. Work is also underway at Magic Kingdom and Epcot to improve the entrances to these parks.
