Earthquake in Seattle: 4.6 magnitude earthquake shook northwest Pacific

The quake was a magnitude 4.6, reported the US Geological Survey, and its epicenter was located near Three Lakes, in the state of Washington, about 40 miles north of Seattle.

The earthquake was felt as far as the Canadian border, the agency said.

After the earthquake, no tsunami warnings were issued. according to a tweet of the National Tsunami Warning Center of the United States.

There are reports of objects that have fallen off walls and shelves, but no report of damage.

The earthquake comes a week after two strong shocks rocked parts of California.
