The wait was long, but SpaceX was able to perform the launch test of the Starhopper August 28th. It was a monumental achievement as the rocket prototype made its largest unattached jump, hoping to reach 60 feet in the air. Elon Musk visited Twitter to congratulate the team behind the test and also had a conversation on Twitter about future variants of the Starhopper rocket.

The rocket prototype is part of SpaceX's Mars mission to facilitate transport facilities to colonize Mars. The final version of Starhopper will be used to land on the red planet. Musk tweeted that the prototype had a body diameter of 9 meters and also revealed that the next generation would have a body diameter of 18 m, which is twice the size of the current prototype.

As reported by TeslaratiFor the same fineness ratio as the current prototype, the next-generation system will be an imposing giant, nearly 240 meters tall and weighing about 40,000 metric tons when refueled. Even with the dimensions of the current prototype, the completed Starship Super Heavy thruster will be the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, with a 90,000 kN thrust capacity. But the Goliath of a rocket that will be the variant of 18 meters is insane to the extent that it would take about 100 Raptor engines just for takeoff.

The speculated rocket will certainly have some punch, but even the current dimensions of the prototype are no small feat, because it would be the most powerful booster ever built. SpaceX is at the center of attention with its ambitious plans and successful results in its efforts to colonize Mars.
