TOLEDO (WTVG) – This story is proof of the incredible generosity of this community. A Toledo woman fighting breast cancer received an extraordinary gift on Thursday. Seagate Roofing has installed a free roof.

Tina Mitchell was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in March. She has already undergone eight cycles of chemotherapy. She must undergo surgery in October, followed by irradiation.

The offered roof was created when Tina's sister, Betty Greer, met her high school classmate, Karen Jacobiak. They were preparing their meeting at high school and Betty told the story of her sister to Karen.

Karen is the Director of Operations at Seagate Roofing. Once she shared the story with her boss, the wheels were moving.

The crew has made a lot of progress on the roof today. The goal is to finish it on Friday, weather permitting.

A GoFundMe account has also been created to help Tina cover her medical and living expenses. We posted a link.
