BOSTON (CBS) – Dozens of people in Massachusetts, including teenagers, are suffering from what one suspects of being a "vaping-related" lung disease.
The Ministry of Public Health has stated that it has received 38 preliminary reports of respiratory illness associated with vaping, although none is "probable or confirmed".
"DPH is collecting additional clinical information from providers reporting these suspected cases to determine if any of these reports match the CDC's" probable "or" confirmed "case definitions, the department said.
According to the Boston Globe, at least seven of the patients are teenagers who have been treated at the Boston Children's Hospital.
The number of people sick more than tripled after the authorities ordered all doctors to report any possible cases of pulmonary disease related to e-cigarettes.
The CDC says that there are 380 cases all over the country.
A new death related to vaping was reported in California during the night
President Donald Trump said last week that his government was proposing to ban thousands of flavors used in electronic cigarettes.
