4 COVID-19 deaths in North Dakota on Sunday

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Health reported four additional deaths from COVID-19 on Sunday, August 16.

Two of the deaths were from Burleigh County – a woman in her 60s with no underlying health issue and a man in her 80th with underlying health issues. The other two deaths were a man in his 40s from Sioux County with underlying health issues and a man in his 60s from Stark County with underlying health issues. The total number of deaths has risen to 125.

With 143 new cases reported on Sunday, the total number of positive cases has reached 8,587 and 7,249 are reported as recovered. Burleigh County recorded 44 of the new cases on Sunday.

The health service reports that 54 are currently hospitalized.
