States ranked by COVID-19 test positivity rate: November 9

[ad_1]

Here are the positive COVID-19 test rates in each state, along with the most recently reported number of new cases and the number of tests performed per 1,000 people.

Data points were last updated on November 9. Data for positivity rates and testing are seven-day moving averages. New cases are daily counts reported by the state and the District of Columbia. The information cited is from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center. The conditions are ranked in descending order of test positivity rates.

Editor’s Note: On October 23, Johns Hopkins noted that its test data provider, the Covid Tracking Project, was changing the way it maps state data. The changes mean that the data category used in the denominator (total tests) can now include tests previously not included in the calculations, which in turn may result in a lower test positivity calculation than would have been calculated before the test. change.

“With this significant change, we will again be reviewing our data entries and calculations to ensure our numbers reflect the public health calculation most responsible for testing positivity,” according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
