PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting 527 new cases of the coronavirus coronavirus, the highest positive number since the start of the pandemic.
“The continued increase in new cases of COVID is of great concern. Last week I joined with the Chief Medical Officers of Health Systems in our region to talk about our growing concerns, ”said Dr Debra Bogen, Director of the Department of Health. “Despite our warning messages, the number of cases continues to increase rapidly. While we are better prepared today than when we started seeing cases in March, we still need to be proactive to reduce the spread of the virus. “
The cases ranged from 3 months to 104 years with a median age of 40 years.
The age range of cases by age is as follows:
Of the 527 new cases, 294 women tested positive and 233 men tested positive.
Since November 1, there have been 4,230 cases of COVID-19 and 24 deaths.

- As we spend more time indoors with others, keep a physical distance and wear masks;
- Avoid parties and gatherings, even among your family and friends.
