PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting 609 new cases of coronavirus and one additional death on Thursday.
Of the new cases reported today, 492 are confirmed from 2,672 PCR tests. There are 117 probable cases.
“The new cases vary in age from 1 week to 98 years with a median age of 37 years”, indicates the Ministry of Health. The dates for positive tests are from October 20 to November 19.
There have been 1,724 hospitalizations in Allegheny County since the start of the epidemic. Of all the hospitalized patients, 419 required intensive care unit care and 156 required ventilator treatment.
The county-wide death toll reached 465. The most recent death was a patient in his 60s. Their date of death was recorded on November 14.
There have been a total of 22,043 cases of the coronavirus among residents of Allegheny County since the start of the pandemic.

According to health officials, according to Wednesday’s report, 246,653 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the county.
