New Galaxy Watch 3 update for Europe improves blood oxygen monitoring

The Galaxy Watch 3 in Europe is now receiving the same firmware update that Samsung released in South Korea a few weeks ago. Firmware number R8xxXXU1BTK1, the latest update adds voice guidance in a few scenarios, for example when exercising with the smartwatch while having a wireless headset connected. Voice guidance is now also provided for distance traveled and HR data when Auto Lap is enabled.

But perhaps more importantly, the latest update to the Galaxy Watch 3 improves the overall stability and reliability of the system, while improving the measurement of oxygen in the blood, which is one of the key features and Galaxy Watch 3 selling points.

The update is being rolled out in Europe

The current update debuted in South Korea earlier this month and is now rolling out in Europe, but of course if you haven’t received the firmware version R8xxXXU1BTK1 in your area, please remain seated, as Samsung is expected to expand the availability of the update to more markets soon.
