Kathryn went on to say that she released the footage to urge people to take the virus seriously, stressing that it’s not just about protecting yourself – it’s about protecting others, including workers frontline health.
“I love being a nurse,” she tweeted. “ I didn’t exactly expect to be a new nurse in the midst of a highly politicized pandemic, but life comes to you quickly and even in a pandemic I don’t want to do anything else.
“Caring for the sickest patients is an honor and I cherish my patients,” she continued.
“ It is devastating to see people die when these deaths were preventable and it is even more devastating to see them die the same way, time and time again. It is devastating that common sense and basic decency have been politicized.
“Covid is a brutal disease and I would not wish the worst on my worst enemy,” she concluded.
She went on to say that she loved being a nurse, but the way that “ common sense and decency has been politicized ” is devastating.
She wants people to realize that wearing masks and social distancing is not just to protect themselves, but to protect others.
“Please understand that you are not only protecting yourself, you are protecting the people around you.
Speaking to Scary Mommy, the nurse said she would like people to know that “healthcare workers are not on the front line, we are on the last line”.
“There is no cavalry coming to relieve us or take our place if we fall, and things will only get worse,” she said. “ We will do everything we can for as long as possible to help as much as we can, but the public must do their part to limit the spread of covid or the health care system and people who work in the health care industry. will collapse under the weight of it.
She went on to tell CTVNews.ca that it is ‘exhausting’ being a healthcare worker during the pandemic, but some people seem to be able to ignore what’s going on because they can’t see not really what it is in hospitals.
