Technically, the two largest planets in our solar system will always be hundreds of millions of kilometers apart. But on December 21, from our perspective, they will appear to be touching each other, creating a radiant point of light that is dubbed the Christmas Star, or the Star of Bethlehem, for obvious reasons.
