The Pokemon Go community remained furious after UK police appeared to ‘mock’ adults playing the popular mobile title.

However, fans were angered when a viral post from Police in Essex, UK appeared to mock the adults coming out and playing the game.

On January 10, the Essex Police social media account called on Pokemon Go players to come out to play the Niantic game. Fans of the show were upset when the account singled out fans based on their age.
“During the patrols, [we have had to] talking with a number of different men, ages 30 and up last week, who seemed to find it acceptable to go to some public places in the neighborhood to hunt Pokémon! Yes, you read that correctly, ”the post read.

The police warning sparked a debate among Go players who felt they belittled the players’ ages. One user wrote: “There was no need to designate a group like this. Rag on Pokemon Go if that’s your problem, but it didn’t make a difference if they were teenagers or even middle aged women !! “
Fans also rated the game as distinguished, as many pointed out that they use Go for exercise. “Did no one tell the police that Pokemon Go was an app designed to encourage Pokemon fans to go out and exercise?” says a trainer. Another replied: “Someone who plays alone while walking, I don’t know what the problem is or why it is different from someone who walks and texts.”
