IOWA
(KWWL) – There were 1,532 new confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the state dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 301,442.
The state’s website says that of the 301,442 people who tested positive, 262,225 have recovered. That’s 1,723 more recoveries than the state reported on Wednesday.
The state’s death toll stands at 4,251, 19 more than reported on Wednesday.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (262,225) and the number of deaths (4,251) from the total number of cases (301,442), there are currently 34,966 active positive cases in the state.
There have been 86 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 532, an increase from 516. Of those hospitalizations, 85 are in intensive care (up from 79) and 35 under fans (compared to 30).
In Iowa, 5,176 new tests have been performed in the past 24 hours and a total of 1,405,142 1,410,318 people have been tested for COVID-19. The positivity rate for the last 24 hours (1,532 positive tests divided by 5,176 tests given) is 29.5%.
BLACK HAWK COUNTY
Thursday at 10 a.m. Black Hawk COVID-19 dashboard shows 64 new cases since 10 a.m. Wednesday, leaving a total of 14,325 cases (13,489 cases positive for PCR and antigen and 836 positive cases for serology). There were 86 more recoveries in the county, for a total of 12,019. There were three more deaths, leaving a total of 228 deaths. The 14-day average positivity rate for the county is 11.9%.
LINN COUNTY
Thursday at 10 a.m. Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard shows 64 new cases since 10 a.m. Wednesday, leaving a total of 17,513 cases. There were 54 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 15,110 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 249 deaths. There are 26 patients currently hospitalized in the county. The county’s 14-day average positivity rate is 10%.
JOHNSON COUNTY
According to state dashboard At 10 a.m. on Thursday, 59 new positive cases have been reported in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Wednesday. This brings the total to 11,878 reported cases. There were 38 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 10,443 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 49 deaths. The county’s 14-day average positivity rate is 11%.
DUBUQUE COUNTY
According to state dashboard As of 10 a.m. Thursday, 38 more positive cases have been reported in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Wednesday. This brings the total to 11,208 reported cases. There were 37 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 10,080. Two more deaths were reported, leaving a total of 148 deaths. The county’s 14-day average positivity rate is 12%.
