Citing “a slowdown in appointments at COVID-19 vaccination sites,” the county confirmed that a change had been made to eligibility requirements.
County public health official Dr Wilma Wooten said: ‘We took this step today to add people aged 75 and over as they are at the greatest risk. We still intend to expand vaccines to people 65 and over the week of January 25, depending on vaccine availability. “
The expanded requirements will be in place at the vaccination “super station” in downtown San Diego and other counties where coronavirus vaccines are administered.
Health workers (phase 1A / all levels) and residents of San Diegans aged 75 and over (phase 1B, level 1) can make appointments to receive vaccines and are the only groups who can visit a location. vaccination.
