These San Antonio hubs to receive COVID-19 vaccine shipments this week

SAINT ANTHONY – Texas State Department Health Services have announced which COVID-19 vaccination centers in San Antonio will receive doses of the vaccine during the week of January 25.

These are only the first doses of the vaccine. Health officials say these places are where the vaccine will be shipped but not necessarily where the vaccines will be distributed.

Below are the centers in San Antonio that will receive the vaccine:

  • San Antonio Metropolitan Health District Main Immunization Clinic – 9,000 doses of Moderna vaccine

  • University health system – Hospitalized patients – 10,725 doses of Pfizer vaccine

  • Wellness 360 (adult) – 5,850 doses of Pfizer vaccine

It is not specified where these new doses will be sent for distribution at this time.

The four COVID-19 vaccine distribution sites in San Antonio currently include the Alamodome, WellMed Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Center, Alicia Treviño López Senior Community Center, and Wonderland of the Americas.
