A storm pouring copious amounts of rain on the central coast floods roads across the region, forcing many people to close.
In San Luis Obispo, the San Luis Bay Dr. is closed from Highway 101 to Monte Rd. However, some drivers made their way through the rising waters.
Yeah that’s NOT what you are supposed to do when the roads are flooded and closed. While we were on San Luis Bay Dr many drivers turn around … but we saw one cross the flooded road to get to Monte Rd. pic.twitter.com/HU1tNbOKN7

The closing began just before 8 a.m. Thursday morning.
Just to the south, floodwaters also closed off the main arteries in the Santa Maria-Guadalupe area.
Near Orcutt, Caltrans closed Route 1 between Solomon Rd. And Black Rd. This closure can last most of the day.
Black Rd. Is also closed at the Stowell intersection in Santa Maria.
Flooding forces the intermittent closure of Highway 1 near Guadalupe at Dominion Road.
