IOWA
(KWWL) – There were 757 new confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the state dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 319,203.
The state’s website says that of the 319,203 people who tested positive, 282,477 have recovered. That’s 953 more recoveries than the state reported on Saturday.
The state’s death toll is 4,901, an additional 250 reported yesterday.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (282,477) and the number of deaths (4,901) from the total number of cases (319,203), there are currently 31,825 active positive cases in the state.
At 10 a.m. Sunday morning, 18 patients have been hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 358, up from 376 yesterday. Among these hospitalizations, 94 are in intensive care (against 84) and 29 are on ventilators (as yesterday).
In Iowa, 2,869 new tests have been administered in the past 24 hours and a total of 1,472,768 people have been tested for COVID-19. The positivity rate for the last 24 hours (757 positive tests divided by 2,869 tests given) is 26.3%.
According to the state’s latest vaccination report released on Saturday, 236,608 total doses have been given to residents of Iowa and more than 58,183 have completed the series. On Saturday, 8,725 residents of Black Hawk County, 18,507 residents of Linn County, 21,066 residents of Johnson County and 8,542 residents of Dubuque County received the vaccine. BLACK HAWK COUNTY
Sunday at 10 a.m. Black Hawk COVID-19 dashboard shows 64 new cases since 10 a.m. Friday, leaving a total of 15,259 cases (14,339 cases positive for PCR and antigen and 920 positive cases for serology). There are 12 other recoveries for a total of 12,841. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 248 deaths. The 14-day average positivity rate for the county is 10%.
LINN COUNTY
Sunday at 10 a.m. Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard has shown 65 new cases since 10 a.m. Saturday, leaving a total of 18,498 cases. There were 36 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 15,991 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 296 deaths. There are 24 patients currently hospitalized in the county. The county’s 14-day average positivity rate is 8%.
JOHNSON COUNTY
According to state dashboard At 10 a.m. on Sunday, 24 new positive cases have been reported in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Saturday. This brings the total to 12,460 reported cases. There were a total of 11,176 recoveries, 49 more than yesterday. There were five more deaths, leaving a total of 62 deaths. The county’s 14-day average positivity rate is 8%.
DUBUQUE COUNTY
According to state dashboard At 10 a.m. on Sunday, 25 more positive cases have been reported in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Saturday. This brings the total to 11,826 reported cases. There have been 20 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 10,588. Ten additional deaths have been reported, leaving a total of 176. The 14-day average positivity rate for the county is 10 percent.
