CONNECTICUT – CVS will soon begin delivering COVID-19 vaccines to eligible populations on Thursday, February 11 at CVS pharmacies in Connecticut. A total of 12 pharmacies will eventually distribute the vaccine, according to a press release from the company.
Appointments will be available for booking as of Monday, February 9, as stores receive vaccine shipments, according to a press release from CVS.
The supply for the limited deployment in the state, which is tied to the Federal Pharmaceutical Partnership Program, will be approximately 6,800 total doses.
The 12 pharmacies have not all been identified by the company. But CVS has listed nine communities that will participate:
- Avon
- Bristol
- Coventry
- Glastonbury
- Guilford
- Hamden
- Middletown
- North Haven
- Uncasville
As the offer becomes available, the company will expand to more locations and offer additional appointments.

Vaccines at participating CVS pharmacies in Connecticut will be available to those who meet state criteria, which will be confirmed by the state prior to deployment.

COVID-19 vaccine availability in Connecticut is part of an initial rollout in 11 states and includes approximately 335 CVS Pharmacy branches in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island , South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Vaccines will eventually be available at CVS Pharmacy branches across the country subject to product availability, with the capacity to deliver 20 to 25 million vaccines per month.
In addition to making COVID-19 vaccines available at local pharmacies, CVS Health says it continues to make progress in its efforts to immunize residents and staff at more than 570 long-term care facilities across Connecticut.
