Costco will be offering COVID-19 vaccines in the coming days, but there are a number of speed bumps that will likely delay you getting one.
What is happening?
Costco has said it will administer the COVID-19 vaccines when they become available. People can book appointments on the Costco website.
Costco will provide COVID-19 vaccines at locations in these five states:
California
new York
Oregon
Porto Rico
Caroline from the south
-
South Carolina locations will not appear until they become available. Fox Business reported that the Charleston and Mount Pleasant sites offer vaccines.
Washington
-
Washington locations were not listed on Costco’s website. However, Fox Business reports that the vaccines will be distributed to “Clarkston, Kennewick, Wenatchee, Sequim, Tukwila, Silverdale, Bonney Lake, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, Tacoma, Burlington, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Woodinville, Spokane, Lacey, Tumwater, Bellingham and Union Gap. “
However …
Costco members are not guaranteed to be able to enroll in the COVID-19 vaccine. The company said it only has a limited amount of vaccine available. Distribution will follow the guidelines of each state where it may distribute.
What about Utah?
Costco will not distribute vaccine doses in Utah. Smith and Walmart pharmacies will offer free vaccines to Utahns who are eligible for COVID-19 vaccines, according to Deseret News.
Those who are eligible can book appointments online at 39 different Smith pharmacies (there are 53 total in Utah), and 18 of 59 Walmart pharmacies and Sam’s Club Pharmacy in Logan.
