Schiff said Sunday in CNN's "State of the Union" that there was "fairly compelling evidence" of collusion at the 2016 election.

Schiff, who leads the investigation of the House's intelligence committee, stressed on Sunday the meeting of the Trump Tower between senior officials of the Trump campaign and prominent Russians.

Schiff also took note of conversations of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the transition, as well as communications between the former Trump campaign advisor, George Papadopoulos, and related Russian officials during the campaign.

"All of this is evidence of collusion," said Schiff. "And you have to either look to the other side to say it's not, or you have to have a different word because it's a corrupt confrontation with a foreign opponent during a campaign."
