A group of prisoners released from work in Florida assisted in the rescue a year old baby accidentally locked in a car.
Parents could not afford a locksmith after the baby's father locked the keys in their SUVs on Valentine's Day, Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kevin Doll told NBC News. Deputies responded to the scene where it was 56 degrees outside and saw the couple 's daughter appear to be comfortable in a car seat.
Minutes later, NBC News reported that the father had told MPs that he was going to break the driver's window from the front door. But a crew of repairmen repairing medians in a nearby car park offered his skills.
The deputies told the father to "bang his head against the window" so that "weird faces" do not scare the baby. Another person from mother Shadow Lantry's viral video can be heard commenting on the "hilarious situation," MPs watching the crew wearing black and white stripes that unlock the car.
The crew forced the entrance door to open long enough to allow an inmate to push the electronic door latch using a hanger. It took about two minutes for the group to applaud.
The parents thanked the crew, the deputy ministers and the firefighters for their help, finding their baby crying and sucking a pacifier inside the car.
